Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart is asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver in a hit and run that injured a man in unincorporated Lemont.
At approximately 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 19, Cook County Sheriff’s Police received a report of a hit and run that occurred near the intersection of Kotlin Road and Main Street. According to the Sheriff’s Police investigation, a 34-year-old man returning home from work was walking on Main Street on the side of the road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
The Lemont Fire Department took the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries. The injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
