COOK COUNTY, IL – A 30-year-old Berwyn man has been charged with possession of child pornography following a Sheriff’s Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced today.

Earlier this year, ICAC Unit investigators launched an investigation into Cedric Partida-Gudino, of the 6400 block of West 26th Street, after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding videos of child pornography downloaded and saved on his cloud storage app.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant for the cloud storage account which verified Partida-Gudino as the owner and revealed additional files containing child pornography.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, investigators interviewed Partida-Gudino, and after being issued his Miranda Warning, he confirmed that the cellphone associated with the cloud storage app belonged to him. Investigators conducted a forensic analysis of his phone which showed more than 100 videos of child pornography, many involving victims under the age of 13. Partida-Gudino was later taken into custody without incident.

On Monday, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved one count of Possession of Child Pornography, a Class 2 Felony. Partida-Gudino appeared on Tuesday at the Maywood Courthouse for his initial court hearing, after which he was ordered detained at the Cook County Jail.

Since 2020, investigations by the Sheriff’s ICAC Unit have led to charges against 50 individuals for cases involving the victimization of children and child pornography.

The public is reminded that defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty by the government in a court of law.
