Mental Health Hotline

The Office of Mental Health Policy and Advocacy maintains a 24-hour hotline:

(773) 674-2273

Or

(773) 674-CARE

This hotline is supported by live team members. The hotline is designed as a resource for families and friends of individuals in custody to address immediate medical and mental health concerns. The hotline is also open to former individuals in custody coping with mental illness — providing recommended resources so they can access treatment to sustain a healthy life.

Please note: the Careline only focuses on medical and mental health concerns. Other calls may be redirected to other departments across the Sheriff’s Office.
