On Friday, Nov. 27, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart received confirmation that he was positive for COVID-19 after being tested on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
He last worked on Thursday, Nov. 19. He began feeling symptomatic on Friday, Nov. 20 and immediately self-quarantined.
The Sheriff is uncertain where he contracted the virus but has been working around the clock to combat the virus at the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Dart remains symptomatic and is under the care of his physician. He is recovering at home.
